Another great year at the Quicksilver Pro :] It was raining most of the days, but lucky (or not so lucky) for me it was blistering hot when I went! I got some decent surf shots, but I think it was the people watching that I was more interested in..

Two weeks in a row at Rainbow Beach!

Allahn & Will have been my favorite couple to photograph to this date. They were so fun and ready to try/do anything I threw at them. In return I was ready to do anything they threw at me! It rained during the ceremony, but cleared up after for all the photo opportunities. Worked out perfect!

Words cannot explain how welcome I felt, and how many laughs we shared :] Thanks guys for letting me be part of your wedding day! It was fate. I hope you love the photos as much as I do!

This post if well overdue, but I finally got around to sharing it with you guys :]

We went hiking for the first time in MONTHS! When Carl first moved out here we used to go hiking every weekend to a different location, but we have been so busy with work and life… It was nice to drive out to the hinterland and remind ourselves how beautiful our backyard is, if you know what I mean ;].

Unfortunately we choose the weekend after the massive storms and all but one of the trails was closed. It was a pretty short circuit, but I took my time because I had my new 5DMarkIII and 50mm f/1.2 to play with! It started raining when we started the hike and kept sprinkling throughout the few hours we were all there, but the way the light glistened on the raindrops on the leaves made everything more pretty!

It’s nice to have a two week mandatory break from work over the Christmas and New Years period. It’s one of my favorite parts of my job. Carl and I got to spend some quality time together. Being from California, this was our first “Summer Christmas”. What did we do? Why.. we hit the beach and all that good stuff!
